Sometimes, no amount of words, no matter how eloquently written, can do justice to something special.  That's how it is with Colten.  The amount of sweetness and sensitivity this dog possesses simply can't be described.  Along with his striking handsomeness, Colten embodies the true nature of the Akita.  His love, courage and heart enrich our lives each day in so many different ways.  Whether it is seeing him make "snow angels" outside after a storm, cuddling with one of the cats, or sitting lovingly by our sides, a look or a hug from Colten warms our hearts, even on the coldest of Vermont nights.  Colten is a true friend.
